2014 RACE DAY INFORMATION
This years event will be one you will not want to miss. As we get closer to the race we have had an increased number of questions sent to me via email and phone calls. Below are answer to a few of the common questions.
- RACE TIMES – An email was recently sent to all participants to confirm race times. If you lost this email or didn’t receive it, please let us know! email@example.com
- PACKET PICKUP – Packet pickup will be the morning of the event. We recommend showing up a minumum of 30 minutes before your heat. Personally I say arrive earlier than that. You need to get checked in, survey the course and stretch.
- TEAMS – There seems to be some confusion with teams. Running with a team ensures that you and your best friends get a chance to run the course together. This is not a relay race. You will all start and finish together (unless you leave someone playing in a mud pit). An added benefit of a team is you all enjoy a discounted race price. We get charged per credit card swipe; thus, having one caption signing up the team, saves us money that we pass on to you!
- SHOWERS – Showers will be provided to rinse off at the end of the race. Having done many obstacle/mud runs let me tell you from experience, YOU WILL BE DIRTY. We will let you rinse off but since this is a family event there will be no stripping down to the buff to get clean. I recommend you bring a towel or two, one for the seat of the car one to dry off after the showers. Flip-Flops are nice to change into since your race shoes will likely be destroyed.
Free Gifts – We are giving away TONS of prizes on our FaceBook page. Both registered and unregistered runners can win.
We will be giving away race photos to every participant. We will have photographers throughout the course capturing your exciting experiences. Each and every photo taken will be free for download after the race. This is our gift to you. In addition to photos. WEAR YOUR COSTUMES!
THANKS – I appreciate each inquiry and I do my best to respond to each and every athlete. If you haven’t heard back, please let me know. I don’t want your questions to go unanswered.
Hurricane Mud Run
2014 Sponsor – Utah National Guard
We are pleased to announce the Army National Guard as main sponsor for the 2014 Hurricane Mud Run!
In conjunction with the National Guard we have also teamed up with the ROTC programs at Southern Utah University and Dixie State College. We are proud to show off our national pride! Our ROTC cadets will be selling food and refreshments on-site as a fundraiser for their programs. We all have a huge opportunity to come out and support our armed forces.
We are very appreciative of each and every sponsor. Please take a moment and get to know them and support their businesses. Without the help of our community this event would never happen! Thank you!
